Ambios Climate Network

Decentralized Environmental Sensor Fabric & High-Throughput Solana Verification

Ambios Environmental Dashboard Preview

Project Summary

Ambios commissioned Shearwater Data to architect an immutable IoT sensory telemetry ingest and verification pipeline. The infrastructure gathers real-time air quality, carbon sequestration, and soil moisture readings from over 45,000 decentralized hardware nodes, cryptographic proof-checking sensor validity before batching micro-settlement rewards onto the Solana high-performance blockchain.

THE OPERATIONAL BOTTLENECK

Eliminating Greenwashing With Verifiable Sensor Telemetry

Traditional voluntary carbon markets suffer from pervasive credibility gaps. Self-reported emissions offsets frequently duplicate claims or rely on outdated manual annual spot-checks.

Ambios required an open, cryptographically tamper-proof telemetry protocol capable of continuously proving that in-situ environmental sensors were physically active, calibrated, and generating authentic mitigation metrics.

ENGINEERING INTERVENTION

High-Throughput Compression & Oracle Smart Contracts

Shearwater Data designed an edge ingestion framework utilizing signed TLS payloads and state compression trees. Incoming environmental batches are verified through anomaly detection microservices before writing Merkle root hashes onto Solana.

Raw high-resolution data streams are indexed into a BigQuery and Parquet lakehouse, providing instantaneous geospatial query APIs for institutional ESG buyers and carbon credit brokers worldwide.

“Shearwater Data translated our theoretical blockchain environmental protocol into an industrial-scale telemetry network. Their systems design made carbon credit verification instant and indisputable.”
